The completion of Robeson House, the London School of Economics’ landmark £100 million purpose-built student accommodation development, has been featured by PBSA News, recognising one of the UK’s most significant recent student living projects.

Designed to provide a welcoming home for a predominantly international postgraduate community, the 676-bedroom development places equal emphasis on community, wellbeing and academic success. Alongside high-quality private accommodation, the building offers an extensive collection of shared amenity spaces that encourage collaboration, relaxation, study and social interaction, creating an environment that supports every aspect of student life.

Willmore Iles Architects led the building’s technical design and delivery, with Jasper Sanders + Partners appointed to develop the interior design, spatial planning and resident experience strategy for the amenity spaces. The studio also specified the student bedrooms and shared kitchen and lounge environments throughout the building, ensuring a consistent design language across both private and communal spaces. In addition, Jasper Sanders + Partners created the building’s graphic identity and comprehensive wayfinding strategy, inspired by the life and legacy of Eslanda Robeson, helping to establish a distinctive sense of place and a memorable arrival experience for students from around the world.
