A Cultural Dinner Party with Rebecca Finney

A Cultural Dinner Party with Rebecca Finney

In this imaginative feature, Jasper Sanders + Partners’ Creative Director, Rebecca Finney, opens the doors to her dream dinner party – a gathering shaped by the people, ideas, and creative forces that have inspired her most.

Rebecca’s chosen setting is close to home, literally. Her dinner table, already rich with stories and memories, becomes the stage for an evening of conversation and connection. A lovingly prepared Italian menu sets the tone: slow, soulful, and designed to be shared. It’s less about fine dining, more about the joy of communal experience – the kind of meal where laughter lingers longer than the food. Music drifts from her vinyl collection, the soft crackle of a record adding warmth and nostalgia to the atmosphere – a reminder that creativity often lives in the small, tactile rituals of everyday life.

Her guest list reveals a creative mind that draws inspiration from a wide cultural landscape. David Hockney embodies artistic optimism and the joy of seeing beauty in the everyday, while Taylor Swift reflects Rebecca’s admiration for authenticity and the courage to evolve in public view. Design icons Charles and Ray Eames represent her love of playful yet purposeful design, rooted in experimentation and human connection. From Pep Guardiola, she takes inspiration in leadership and teamwork (a metaphor she often applies in the studio) and from David Fincher, a fascination with the meticulous, psychological craft of storytelling.

Finally, Vivienne Westwood, a formative influence during her art foundation years, brings rebellion, intellect, and activism to the table.

Through this imagined evening, Rebecca reveals her creative DNA: a love of collaboration, curiosity, and cultural connection. It’s a portrait of a designer who sees creativity not as a discipline, but as a dialogue – one shaped by art, music, fashion, film, and the shared humanity that connects them all.
